The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable unit to ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of all payments in accordance with policies and procedures. 




  • Leading the AP team to ensure payment of invoices, member expenses, stipend, and employee reimbursements are processed timely and accurately and in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Being responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of efficient payables processes ensuring internal controls are in place, and financial policies are adhered to.
  • Managing the accounts payable month-end closing process, including the accrual of expenses, reconciliation, and analysis, and remittance
  • Managing the activities and performance of direct reports; providing direction, coaching, and mentorship to the team by giving feedback, identifying areas of growth and training opportunities.
  • Managing relations with vendors, by providing resolution on issues or discrepancies, guidance in interpreting financial policies, and responses to inquiries or requests for information.
  • Upholding a strict level on confidentiality in regard to investments and ownership transactions

  • 6-9 years in finance/accounting operations with a focus on accounts payable and analysis
  • University Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or equivalent
  • Minimum experience of 4-5 years managing a team of accounts payable administrators.
  • Experience in implementation and management of automation tools, to streamline and transform the AP process
  • Experience in building out a system of controls to ensure correct allocation of expenses to account, divisions and projects
