SCOPE OF ROLE

 

As the Accounts Receivable Analyst, you will be responsible for the collection of all accounts receivable, development and maintenance of customer files, as well as the balancing of cash flow. The Accounts Receivable Analyst will review VinFast Auto Canada Inc. cash flow, and collaborate with the Director of Finance in the creation and analysis of cash flow charts. Other responsibilities will include the resolution of any invoice discrepancies, calculation of commissions for sales persons, and reconciliation of Accounts Receivable statements.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES

 

  • Reconciles and deposits service and parts receipts, including charge cards, on a daily basis.
  • Receipts all monies received from vehicle sales, checks for money due, and provides drafts for dealer signature.
  • Enters finalized cash receipts and updates accounts receivable ledger by customer.
  • Files all cash receipt records, check stubs, and bank receipts.
  • Prepares cash deposits and fills out the cash control sheet daily.
  • Reconciles statements and follows up collections as necessary.
  • Prepares accounts receivable statements monthly.
  • Performs background checks on credit applications. Gives approvals for current charges.
  • Processes daily credit card deposits.
  • Researches and processes chargebacks, returns, and bad checks.
  • Pulls original vehicle invoices for payoff by office manager.
  • Passes trade payoffs to office manager.
  • Answers accounts receivable phone calls and follows up on inquiries.
  • Updates customers' account information.
  • Maintains a monthly holdback list for the office manager.
  • Inputs new vehicles into the computer system as directed by the office manager.
  • Reports sold units through the factory reporting system. Maintains accurate delivery records.
  • Posts fuel credits daily and reconciles the fuel schedule.
  • Maintaining fixed asset ledger and on a quarterly basis do a cycle count for Office and Showroom assets
  • Ensure the strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records as they relate to the organization and its business partners
  • Cross-trains others for this position as directed by management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

WHAT YOU BRING ALONG

 

  • University Degree or College diploma with a background in bookkeeping or accounting
  • 3 – 5 years as bookkeeper
  • Must be proficient in MS Office
  • Knowledge and use of adding machine
  • Must maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
  • Excellent time management and detail, proven ability to deliver on tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • High energy level, comfortable performing multi-faceted tasks in conjunction with daily activities
  • Must possess a high level of moral judgment for handling confidential information and monetary transactions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and fluent in English
  • Experience in gathering data, compiling the proper information, and preparing financial reports
  • Experience in in the automotive/EV space is preferred but not necessary
  • Prefer background with companies known for best practices
  • High concentration level with exceptional attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
  • Travel may be required
