The Role

Reporting to the Regional Director, the Regional Practice Support Manager will help support new clinic transitions and newly hired practice managers, by providing virtual and on-the-ground/in-clinic support for the manager (if one available) and clinic team. This role will help support with administration and training duties from the Operation Director/Regional Director and allow a more focused approach to managerial duties for a new clinic. This will also allow new clinics, and especially new Practice Managers, to feel well supported while the Operations Director is able to focus not only on developing the strategy for the new hospital but also continuing to drive our existing hospitals and provide support for them.




  • Train new managers and clinic teams
  • Lead and coordinate company project initiatives
  • Help resolve pending issues with other departments (invoices not paid, etc.)
  • Provide relief for clinics with no current practice manager (both new and old) so that the Operation Director does not have to act as practice manager
  • Focus on one-on-one training with new clinics to make our new managers feel more confident in their duties and responsibilities
  • Be a conduit to the operation director to pass on feedback of the clinic when the Operation Director is not there. Provide additional feedback to Regional Director on opportunities on a clinic level
  • Train new practice managers on all new responsibilities including (but not limited to):
    • Enterprise email applications
    • Invoice and accounts payable processes
    • Cash sheets
    • Financial reporting
    • Workforce management support (Dayforce)
    • IT processes
  • Assist with onboarding and setting up new practice managers on VetStrategy applications
  • Coordinate meetings with clinic teams and Operation Directors
  • Work in a cross departmental capacity ensuring the transition of new clinics goes smoothly and addresses concerns as they arise
  • Help facilitate and assist in annual pricing increases
  • Be a champion for moving toward preferred vendors/team medicine and initiating conversations with managers and teams on the benefits of doing so


Background, Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in an operations coordinator/management role.
  • As this role requires in-clinic support, travelling to clinics is necessary. Approximately 50-70% travel, depending on region
  • Strong organization and customer service skills
  • Able to successfully lead change and adapt to changing priorities, proven track record as an agent of change
  • Maintains a high level of customer focus, leadership and influencing ability
  • Completion of postsecondary education is an asset
  • Experience in veterinary industry is an asset
  • Passionate about the business and is an animal lover!
  • Exceptional communication skills and professionalism at all levels of the organization
