YOUR CHALLENGE


As a Industrial Hygiene Manager for our Occupational Hygiene and Safety (OHS) team, you will be responsible for supervising and/or mentoring a small team of occupational hygiene and hazardous materials staff.


The position offers opportunities to work in interesting and challenging projects.

 


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Conduct workplace monitoring for biological, chemical, and physical hazards with specific ability to recognize hazards, evaluate them and recommend control measures;
  • Provide Occupational Hygiene and OH&S advice to clients and their workers;
  • Perform occupational exposure and risk assessments;
  • Liaise with clients and respond to their requirements and enquiries;
  • Prepare and/or review comprehensive occupational hygiene reports;
  • A strategic thinker who can use their analytic, organization, and observation skills to quickly understand concepts and/or needs and then effectively develop, execute, and manage programs and solutions; 
  • A dedicated and motivating leader of people and processes, and is capable of successfully managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines under pressure; 
  • Understand the importance of providing outstanding levels of customer service and is willing to assist and provide support to the OHS team when/where needed. 

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

   

Education:

  • A university degree in pure or applied sciences;
  • Graduate Industrial Hygiene or Occupational Hygiene Degree preferred;

Required certification

  • CIH or ROH

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in IH/EHS profession;
  • Substantial consulting services experience preferred;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of and experience with Industrial/Occupational Hygiene Exposure Assessment strategies and methodologies;
  • Awareness of biological, chemical, and physical hazards typically found in occupational work environments.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

  • Time is split between office and project site(s);
  • Extended work hours or work on short notice may be required;
  • Ability to travel for work and to remain on an extended schedule/rotation may be required;
  • Valid driver’s license.
