Are you passionate about discovery and sharing knowledge? Would you love to engage audiences of all ages with hands-on astronomy and physics activities? Science North is currently recruiting a Science Communicator for Space Place, an exhibit area all about space exploration and astronomy.
The Science Communicator works with the Staff Scientist to develop engaging and impactful exhibits and programs for Space Place and to deliver great science experiences to visitors. Responsibilities include interacting with visitors of all ages, coordinating daily operations, and participating in recruiting, tasking, and training staff. The successful candidate will be a creative thinker and motivated to work in a dynamic environment.
The successful candidate will have a background in astronomy and physics. They will possess excellent verbal communication skills in both French and English, strong skills as an educator and communicator, demonstrated leadership ability, and strong organizational skills. Work may involve evenings, weekends, and work on public holidays. This is a full-time contract opportunity at $31,600 per year.
