RAM is a technical consultancy providing Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering and Advisory services across Canada. RAM is searching for a motivated and experienced individual in Vancouver, BC. The successful candidate will be an individual that enjoys a challenging, professional, and dynamic workplace and contributing to the success of a hardworking team.

Key Responsibilities

Organization Quality Management System

  • Assist the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) Manager in development, implementation, and improvement of QHSE management system.
  • Assist in developing process documentations including manuals, procedures, guidelines, work instructions, forms, and templates.
  • Assist in implementation of document management system and assist in managing and controlling process documentations.
  • Assist in managing audit program including planning, performing, and reporting internal audits and facilitating external audits.
  • Assist in issuing, managing, monitoring, analyzing and following up on QHSE action items resulted from the internal and external audits such as non-conformances, corrective actions, and opportunities for improvement (OFIs) to ensure they are resolved in a timely manner.

Project Quality Management

  • Assist the Quality Managers in managing project quality activities.
  • Assist and support in providing quality input in proposals.
  • Assist in development and implementation of project management plans, quality plans/procedures, and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Assist in managing audit and inspection program including planning, performing, and reporting internal audits/inspections and facilitating external audits/inspections.
  • Assist in reviewing contractors’ and suppliers’ quality programs and documentations for prequalification and applying quality criteria for the evaluation, selection, and monitoring of their performance.
  • Provides quality assurance and/or quality control support on assigned projects and/or areas to ensure that the product/service provided by the contractors and suppliers are in accordance with customer and company quality requirements.
  • Works jointly with Quality Inspectors to resolve any project quality related issues.
Ideal Candidate Requirements 
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Project Quality Management, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Quality Auditing, Inspection, and/or Document Control.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (e.g., Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering), or Journeyman Trade Certification.
  • Eligibility to be registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with EGBC, or Applied Science Technologist (AScT) with ASTTBC considered an asset but not a requirement.
  • One or more of the following certifications: API-1169, NACE Level 1 and/or 2 (Coating), CWB Level 1 and/or 2 (Welding), or CGSB certifications is considered an asset.
  • One or more of the following certifications: ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, ASQ Quality Auditor Certification or IRCA Quality Management System Auditor is considered an asset.
  • Experience working on major infrastructure, pipeline, transportation, electrical, and/or piping projects is considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of local construction standards, codes, permits, environmental, and safety requirements is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Outlook, SharePoint (or similar electronic document management systems).
  • Fluent in English, especially business writing.
  • Passionate about quality and process improvements.
