RAM is a technical consultancy providing Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering and Advisory services across Canada. RAM is searching for a motivated and experienced individual in Vancouver, BC. The successful candidate will be an individual that enjoys a challenging, professional, and dynamic workplace and contributing to the success of a hardworking team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Participates in the development, compliance, maintenance, and refinement of the company’s internal Quality Program and provides recommendations when necessary.
  • Ensures adherence to company quality program, policies, procedures, and related government regulations.
  • Assists in new systems development, proposals, quality program implementation, quality procedures development, and any related quality activity
  • Ensures construction is following the project’s standards and designs utilizing the company’s audit program.
  • Provides leadership for quality assurance and quality control support on assigned projects and/or areas to ensure that the product is designed, procured, and installed in accordance with customer and company quality requirements.
  • As required, responsible for ensuring quality through testing and inspection at various stages of a project to determine and maintain quality and reliability.
  • Works jointly with Quality Inspectors to resolve any project or internal quality related issues.
  • Ensures that the company and customer’s requirements are met on assigned projects.
  • Recommends corrective action to quality problems.
  • Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge to the completion of significant assignments.
  • Analyzes, evaluates, and plans methods of approach and organizes means to achieve solution of quality related problems.
  • Issues NCR’s and assists in providing a proactive and preventive corrective action.
  • Conducts investigations and root cause analysis to prevent reoccurrence of nonconformities.
  • Champions continuous improvement.

Ideal Candidate Requirements  

  • 8+ years of experience in Project Quality Planning, Quality Auditing and Analysis, Inspection, and Quality Program Development;
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering), or Journeyman Trade Certification;
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with EGBC, or Applied Science Technologist (AScT) with ASTTBC considered an asset but not a requirement;
  • Experience working on major infrastructure, pipeline, transportation, electrical, and/or piping projects;
  • Ability to develop and manage Non Conformance Process, corrective actions & project deficiencies, including root cause analysis;
  • Working knowledge of local construction standards, codes, permits and safety requirements;
  • One or more of the following certifications: ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, ASQ Quality Auditor Certification or IRCA Quality Management System Auditor; and
  • Proven leadership experience with EPCM and EPC projects.
