As an in-house expert in content, you will craft online copy to generate growth and increase brand awareness for all of Questrade Financial Group’s lines of business.

A Digital Writer at Questrade is someone who can transform complex topics into plain language. You will be creating content to engage and educate our audience, discover what they want and optimize their path to conversion.
You will play a key role in implementing the content strategy to significantly increase brand awareness and fuel growth.

You will support marketing teams with content designed to achieve quarterly and yearly priorities. You will write compelling short-form copy, distilling large briefs into powerful, concise headlines (for display banners, print headlines, etc.). You will guide customers and prospective customers through their journey—knowing when to use enticing emotional copy or clear step-by-step instruction. You will develop ideas with fellow writers and designers. Research a subject, find insights and craft content for multiple channels (corporate website, landing pages, emails, e-books, editorials, social, etc.). You will ensure content is easy to understand.
You will work with members of the creative team (designers and developers) to bring content to life and ensure the value proposition and story is clearly understood by the consumer. You will collaborate with subject matter experts to understand persona, product and service capabilities and value propositions for specific products and services. You will shape key messaging by understanding consumer insights and motivating factors, which will resonate and compel the target consumer to take action. You will wrow Questrade as a thought leader and advocate for Canadians. You will contribute to editorial governance so content is consistent throughout Questrade applications and with our brand voice, style and tone.
So are YOU our next Digital Writer? You are if…
✔ You have 3+ years’ experience writing clear, persuasive copy/content (short-form and long-form) for a wide array of channels (web, print, email, social, etc.) and audiences (B2C and B2B).
✔ You have a Bachelor’s or Diploma in English, Communications, Marketing/Digital Marketing or a related field.
✔ You have experience with Google Gsuite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive)
✔ You have knowledge of HTML, Clicktale and Google Analytics
✔ You are a strategic thinker and creative storyteller.
✔ You have knowledge of the Canadian investment landscape and interest in fintech.
✔ You have financial services industry experience, preferably with investments.
✔ You have an eye for detail and excellent grammatical skills.
✔ You have the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
✔ You have project management skills and understanding how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment.
✔ You have a solid understanding of SEO principles, digital marketing and lead generation strategies.
✔ You have strong organizational skills.
✔ You have great presentation skills.
✔ You have the ability to work well at all levels of an organization and interact confidently with senior management.
✔ You are self-motivated individual who isn’t afraid to bring new ideas to the table.

✔ You are proficient in French, Mandarin or Cantonese
✔ You have experience in a regulated industry
✔ You have advertising agency background
✔ You have completed the Canadian Securities Course
