About the Role
We are looking for a Communications Analyst to join our team! Under the leadership of the Manager, Strategic Communications, you will help to analyze and evaluate communication needs for OCS team and advise on and develop initiatives that are purposeful and align with OCS identity. You will support in the organization of content for internal and external audiences and ensure consistent messaging across all channels.

About Your Day
  • Support in the development and implementation of communications strategies and ensure communications content aligns with OCS identity and narrative
  • Monitor traditional and social media to identify issues, risks, and engagement opportunities; track and analyze key performance metrics
  • Collect daily traditional and social media clippings regarding industry news for internal distribution and identify emerging issues or opportunities
  • Collaborate with various departments to create informative and engaging internal communications 
  • Maintain internal communications content calendar - calendarize activities and functional activities and initiatives to optimize the flow of information
  • Assist with the preparation of the agenda and materials for internal meetings
  • Collaborate with the communications team to write and copyedit e-mails, memos, press releases, articles and other materials
  • Coordinate multiple projects to ensure content is publication-ready under tight deadlines
About You
  • Completion of Post-Secondary education in a related area of study OR equivalent combination of experience and post-secondary education
  • 2+ years of experience working in communications or related field
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills and strong organizational skills
  • Solid understanding of the Canadian media landscape and a passion for digital communications, online trends and the latest tools/communication platforms
  • Highly organized, flexible, creative and detail-oriented with the ability to set and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships with internal and external business partners
  • Experience within the public sector is an asset
  • Must be willing to work flexible working hours to support media monitoring needs
  • Fluency in the French language is an asset

Remote Work
  • This position offers a Hybrid work schedule. You will be required to be in the office a minimum of 1 day each week, with the ability to work from home for the remaining workdays (subject to specific business needs requiring office attendance).
