The Role

Our Kitchener plant is looking for a dynamic Paint Process Engineer, whose main focus will be in our Paint Department supporting Production. This position will report into the Paint Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Performing viscosity checks, air balance review, PM schedule creation/updating, sludge system maintenance and filter changes

· Managing all paint line activities and support paint trails, as well as create and maintain work instructions and procedures for the above.

· Responsible for creating internal and customer corrective action reports

· You will be involved in the design and implementation of paint racks and masking jigs

· Working with paint and equipment suppliers

Minimum Requirements

· 3+ years of experience in automotive or industrial spray painting of solvent and/or water-based 1K and 2K paint systems

· Substantial familiarity with Robotics Programming; 2D and 3D CAD

· Training in basic problem solving methodology i.e.; 8D, A3’s etc.

· An ability to work independently in a physically demanding environment

· Comprehensive knowledge of computer applications (MS Office)

· Excellent organizational skills

· Effective oral and written communication skills

· Must be able support all shifts within the organization.
