Senior Technical Product Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager to join our SaaS XDR platform team.  You will be an integral member of our Platform team and would be responsible for defining and driving capabilities to deliver a threat detection and response SaaS Platform to our customers. This is a very visible role for a hands-on PM where you will interact with Engineering, Security Research, SOC, Sales, Marketing, and peers in Product Management.
 

As a member of the team, you will work with customers, partners and various cross functional groups to understand their pain-points, define use cases and features needed, make prioritization decisions, and work closely with Engineering and Security teams to bring new features to market. The successful candidate will have the ability to interface and influence cross-functional teams throughout the company.
 

You will work primarily with our Engineering teams in Seattle, Washington, and our teams in Waterloo, Canada, Cork, Ireland as well as remote employees throughout the U.S. and Canada.

To succeed, you must be comfortable with security workflows, threat analytics and cloud platforms, breaking down complex problems and making data-driven decisions that will delight our customers and drive business growth. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop product requirements incorporating feedback and input from customers, partners and in-house teams on product strategy and finding ways to expand product market reach.
  • Define and maintain feature roadmap and requirements for eSentire’s XDR Platform in concert with other PMs and stakeholders.
  • Work with Marketing for internal and external communication on eSentire’s XDR platform solutions.
  • Work in a geographically dispersed workforce.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to help define go-to-market strategy & messaging, assist with product positioning, benefits, and target personas.
  • Spend time collaborating with key stakeholders, to bring innovative products to market that meet business, quality, and functional goals.
  • Work closely with Engineering to ensure product and engineering plans meet business requirements and priorities.
  • Identify and support metrics-driven programs to measure and improve platform effectiveness.
  • Experience with scrum and other Agile development methodologies.

  • Work with customers and internal stakeholders to drive a user experience that delights customers.
  • Interact with Security Researchers, Engineers, Data Scientists and Software Developers to develop features that enable the success of our services and supporting operations.
  • Create compelling written materials to capture market requirements and describe company solutions.
  • Prioritize features and tasks for platform products using internal tools, frequently tracking, and reviewing the product direction and work.
  • Provide technical and thought leadership on designing, prototyping, implementing, and automating complex analyses and interactive analytical tools.
  • Strategically evolve and grow existing products to constantly deliver a better user experience and to develop standards and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Adept at understanding and curious about new technologies, systems, and tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to properly translate and articulate positioning and technology.
  • Strong quantitative and business analysis skills.
  • Influence decision making across teams through data.

Experience

  • 3+ years in a security-related technical product management role with a strong track record of building new capability and supporting existing ones, ideally some experience with driving Software as a Service offerings.
  • Experience working on projects where the customer can be both internal and/or external.
  • Experience with security technologies, platforms, and tools.
  • Experience with scrum and other Agile development methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with peers in research, engineering, and product marketing
  • Demonstrated ability to discover customer needs and translate to requirements that deliver better products.
  • Proven quantitative and business analysis skills.
  • Proven ability to prioritize numerous simultaneous tasks.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with both local and remote teams.

Aptitude and Education

  • Passion for innovating and developing solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Security a plus.
  • SANS or other technical security certifications a plus.
  • Pragmatic Institute Foundation, Focus, and Build certifications a plus.

Travel

  • Travel up to 30%.
