About the Role:

Reporting to the Head of Kin, the Partner Strategy Manager will recruit and build partnerships with Kin’s industry-leading network of creators. This person will drive relationships with the various organizations in the industry that support the creator community including, but not limited to Meta, Pinterest, TikTok and YouTube, and will be responsible for negotiating inbound leads on our creator’s behalf.

Our ideal candidate is an excellent communicator with a knack for varying communication strategies depending upon the person and/or situation. They enjoy close relationships with others and love the challenge of meeting new people. Our ideal candidate is also excited about helping to shape careers, and to collaborate on creative strategies to ensure creators stay ahead of the curve. They should have a strong ability to quickly close deals to support the revenue growth for the creator and Kin.

Day-to-day, you will be collaborating with key stakeholders across Kin Community, Corus Entertainment and leading brand marketers by actively driving growth, inclusion, and engagement of our creator network, ensuring every single partner feels special, unique and important. These initiatives will support value-rich and scalable client operations that are integral for the success of our strategic vision for the company.

You’ll be working on things like:

  • Responsible for managing Kin Community Canada’s creator partnerships.
  • Develop and manage new product/service offerings to grow creators’ brands and deepen our relationships with them.
  • Manage inbound campaign enquiries by negotiating rates and outlining suggested elements for brand campaigns, up-selling where applicable.
  • Manage Kin Community creators, clients and agencies on brand campaigns, through the execution and reporting process by providing outstanding client service to all parties.
  • When required, attend brainstorms to help ideate creative strategy for clients and ensure talent aligns with brand objectives.
  • Analyze and interpret audience and viewership data to identify and recruit premiere lifestyle creators to join Kin Community Canada.
  • Be an external facing presence for Kin Community Canada. Be in the market consistently, and be a visible force at industry/social events and conferences.
  • Identify issues and opportunities for Kin and Kin Creators with leadership. Monitor and stay abreast of industry trends, platform changes, new products, etc. in this ever-evolving space. Recommend changes and new investments as needed.
  • Assist in the development, research and strategy for building out and testing new lines of Kin business to drive new revenue.

About You

What We Need From You:

  • In-depth knowledge of the social content marketplace and thorough understanding of cross-platform advertising.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement creative, strategic, revenue driving marketing initiatives from conception to completion.
  • Ability to create and maintain relationships between client and agency teams, amidst an ever-changing media planning and buying landscape.
  • An understanding of Project or Production Management workflow
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel.
  • In-depth knowledge of key social and digital platforms including: YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, Snapchat and Pinterest.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • A team player willing to assist the sales team as projects arise.

If You Have the Following… We Want to Hear From You!

  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience within Creator Marketing and/or branded content partnerships - specifically negotiation, pricing, and packaging - across social media and/or experiential activations. Additional experience at a talent agency or talent management company is highly preferred.
  • A background in demonstrated negotiation skills, paired with business acumen and empathy. This allows Kin Community Canada to establish transformative, not just transactional, relationships with creators and the personnel that represent them.
  • Networking is second nature to you. You will bring strong industry contacts and relationships to Kin Community as a means of ‘super-charging’ our success right out of the gate. - An intuition for people. With your excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you should have the ability to communicate to all audiences -- whether it’s an intern or a C-level executive in the company – but more importantly, outside of it.
  • High throughput. You’re self-sufficient and a natural self-starter. Your strong bias towards action has helped you earn the reputation of someone who gets things done. You thrive when you have a lot on your plate and get energy from making our clients' investment in Kin Community a success.
  • Fluent in all things social media. You can navigate TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Snapchat and beyond like the back of your hand to source amazing talent.
  • You’re meticulously organized, not only in projects but in thoughts and time. You take the time to plan ahead and be proactive in all aspects of your job.
  • Ability to multitask: You have a knack for being able to jump from project to project, all while understanding the bigger picture. You have the ability to quickly accomplish tasks while maintaining a high quality of work.
  • Being a proactive problem-solver: you’re able to see a solution to a problem that others didn’t even know existed. You often come up with multiple options to solve a problem and supersede the goal.
  • Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to develop intriguing alternative solutions and an and understanding of the “Yes, and…” approach to understanding a client’s needs.
  • A ‘big picture’ perspective, yet willing to ‘roll up the sleeves’ and do whatever it takes to get the job done
  • Instincts and intuition around what makes a great creator compelling as well social and digital content.
  • We do not value or prioritize paid work experience, or university education over personal and life experience, and we welcome candidates to include all relevant skills and knowledge in their application
