Job Title: Senior Systems and Data Analyst
 

Role Summary:

As a Senior Data Analyst for our GMP Manufacturing operation, you are a versatile individual with significant practical experience in data analysis, specifically focused on B2B service industry experience, preferably in a CMO/CDMO setting. You will have a solid background in various time-tracking, manufacturing and financial/ERP types of platforms, have been an integral part of new software platform implementations and are a power user in a variety of advanced analytical tools. You will be relied upon to support the Project Management Team as well as Senior Management with a wide variety of responsibilities, focusing mainly on data reporting and analytics but also extending to process improvement initiatives to improve internal efficiency and profitability.
 

Responsibilities:

Data Analysis & Reporting


Weekly Client Reports: Provide regular updates to Project Managers (PMs) on all manufacturing projects, allowing PMs to better steer timely conversations with customers when a change order may be required


Bi-Weekly Compliance Reporting: Create/build and improve new reports in a recently launched time tracking system to show compliance by individual users and identify potential areas of improvement


Monthly Functional Managers reports: Compile monthly reports for various department and functional managers showing team member billable hours, total and average hours and details of time usage as required


Quarterly Executive Reports: Cross reference the hours in a quarter with the financial earnings from the quarter to determine most valuable contracts, underbilling/quoting and other significant observations


SOW fulfillment Analysis: Variations of analysis on current and completed Work packages (ie. Run efficiency, project delays, Profit margin) and custom reports based on unique work packages


Process Improvement


Design New Reporting Formats: Establish and train PMs on new expanded reporting options as part of new time-tracking phased implementation


Explore Potential for Client Portal: Gather business requirements and lead design and phased implementation of new client portal platform to allow clients to track projects in real-time at appropriate level of detail


Strengthen Alignment with Finance: explore additional potential areas of coordination and alignment to increase integration and billing accuracy, linking to new invoicing processes


Additional Data Analysis: various ad-hoc manufacturing efficiency projects may require deeper dives into available software platforms


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree (BA, BSc, B Commerce) with major focus on data analytics
  • 4+ years of analytical experience with a focus on data mining, reporting and continuous improvement
  • 4+ years of B2B service industry experience in data analysis role (CDMO experience ideal)
  • Experience with time-tracking, manufacturing data and financial/ERP types of analysis
  • Experience working with software implementations to configure new software platforms and define additional business requirements for new builds
  • Power user in Excel; knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Power Automate and Tableau a major asset; knowledge of programming languages such as Python and R an asset
  • Demonstrated track record of cross-functional expertise, working closely with project managers, functional leaders and executives to both report on current data and propose process improvements
  • Demonstrated track record of strong multi-tasking skills and experience managing complex projects

  • Strong oral and written communications skills, with a focus on condensing key data into actionable reports, including for purposes of presentation to executives
  • Strong attention to detail, with ability to parse large databases and filter/data-mine critical information
  •  Able to work both independently and within a matrixed team environment
